Now that we’ve had a much-needed break over the festive period, there’s been time to properly pause and reflect on what 2025 meant for C3 Communications.
Our words for 2025 were Be Bold. And we can confidently say that we were.
How we were bold in 2025
Although we launched C3 in 2023, this was the year when we made the transition from being just ‘Pippa and Saranne’ to becoming a proper small business.
We brought on new clients, businesses doing nationally significant work in energy and infrastructure, continued to work with some of our existing clients and collaborated with other organisations to get involved in several big bids as partners.
Our team grew in 2025 from two to four with another member of the team about to join in January 2026.
We started paying more attention to our own PR and communications, raising the profile of who we are and what we do, with support from the brilliant Joanne.
This included honing our ideas around Redefining Engagement and developing this narrative as our driving purpose and USP.
We also spoke at our first events, sharing this message and discovering that people are interested in the things we have to say about engagement in the energy and infrastructure industry. We look forward to doing much more of this in the year ahead.
What we learned in 2025
Being bold doesn’t always make for smooth sailing however, and there are definitely a few lessons we learned along the way.
As the year went on, we could have adjusted Be Bold to Be Bold, Not Broken as there were times when it all felt too much with several major projects and deadlines on the go at the same time.
We acknowledged that we needed to get better at asking for help. And now that we have a small team in place, we’re learning how to rely on them a little more.
We also recognised the need to protect time each week to do other things, apart from work! Saranne enjoys cold water swimming and has set herself a personal challenge to do the South Wales three peaks in July. Pippa revisited a long-held dream of becoming a pilot by taking a gliding lesson and is determined to get back into her studio to create some glassware. Annabelle balances her C3 work with paddleboarding, while Joanne gets out on the trails to run.
These are important hobbies and enable each of us to counterbalance the intensity of running a business and working on major infrastructure projects. So, as well as continuing to share plenty of news about our work in 2026, you might also get the odd update on our extra-curricular activities too!

Our word for 2026
We haven’t quite landed on our word(s) for 2026 yet. We’re letting things get underway in the new year and will see what emerges – watch this space!
